1898Morgan Robertson's short story, published in 1898, about the gigantic luxury passenger liner that struck an iceberg while crossing the North Atlantic, and sank with terrible loss of life. The ship was deemed practically unsinkable, and so didn't carry anywhere near enough lifeboats for the passengers and crew. And the ship was called the Titan. Google this if you don't believe me.

11her's something really interesting about 11. Something that you see in your daily life. Grab a book. Behind the book, you'll see a bar code. Just above the barcode, you'll see ISBN along with 13 or 10 numbers printed on it. Now, we're gonna take the 10 digit #barcode. Multiply the last digit(leftmost) by 10, the next digit by 9 then the next by 8 and so on until you multiply the rightmost number by 1. Now add the ten numbers you got. Here, 0x10+1x9+9x8+…+8x1 You'll get a multiple of 11. Here I got 231 which equals 21x11. For all barcodes with 10 digits, the sum of the products of the digits and their corresponding positon values will be a multiple of 11. This is used so that won't be any errors in entering the bar code to a computer or another device.
